About Us
Just after the Second World War in 1945 Alec Roger Manley started trading as a general builder and joiner working from a small workshop on the site at Somerwood Rodington with his son Alec John Manley joining the business in 1956. The business gradually expanded concentrating more on the production of joinery and became incorporated in December 1957 as “A. R. Manley and Son Ltd” and by the early 1960’s had moved away from general building to concentrate solely on the manufacture and fitting of joinery. Fred Manley joined the business in 1984 and the company continued to expand and improve its facilities remaining on its original site at Somerwood.
A. R. Manley and Son Ltd became members of the British Woodworking Federation in October 1996 and in October 2002 attained BS EN ISO 9001:2000 quality management accreditation for the “Design, manufacture and supply" of new and replacement joinery.
